Dr. Brent Nedella
Dr. Brent Nedella joined Pinnacle Family Medicine in September 2010. He was born in Phoenix, AZ and has never lived anywhere outside of the Valley. He was blessed to be the first in his family to attend college, choosing to get his B.S. in General Biology from Grand Canyon University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. It was here that he would also meet his future wife Dr. Nicole Nedella, and they would continue their journey together, attending Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, AZ. He chose to pursue his residency in Family Medicine at Phoenix Baptist Hospital in order to receive training in full-spectrum care of families. This excellent training also complemented the philosophy of Osteopathic Medicine in that doctors are taught to treat the whole patient, rather than only focusing on their diseases. Throughout college, medical school and residency, Dr. Brent had many amazing teachers and professors, and this influenced him to also love teaching other students and residents. Being able to participate in the education of others is truly a joy. Dr. Brent is an adjunct faculty member at Midwestern University and helps teach clinical skills labs whenever possible.
Dr. Brent enjoys caring for a wide variety of patients, from newborns to elderly, and for anything from well-check-ups, to acutely sick patients, or those with chronic diseases. A few of his areas of interest include musculoskeletal and sports medicine, children and adolescents, and some in-office procedures such as skin biopsies, circumcision, and joint injections. Working side-by side with his wife has always been a goal and provides a unique experience for patients.
When not practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife, doing any number of activities, such as kayaking, rock-climbing, riding dirt-bikes, off-roading, camping, hiking, swimming, and traveling. Dr. Brent is also a huge baseball fan and goes to games whenever possible.
